Lovingly known as “VALENTINA.” Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Long Island until she was 11, Vikki’s journey took a vibrant turn when her family moved to Puerto Rico. At the age of 12, she began exploring her musical talents, taking lessons in Cuatro, Guitar, and Piano. Vikki’s heart beats to the rhythm of Jazz, Classical, Tropical Music, and Boleros, and she finds joy in singing songs by the legendary Mexican singer, “Jose Jose” (Principe de la Voz), who has been a profound inspiration to her.

Vikki Romero began nurturing her musical talent by playing guitar in her brother’s Conjunto. Her brother, Victor Romero, is now an acclaimed pianist and arranger for well-known artists like Andy Montañez, Tito Rojas, Ismael Miranda, Luis Garcia, and Victor Manuel, to name just a few. For many delightful years, Vikki and Victor brought joy and music to private parties, social events, and renowned nightclubs across Puerto Rico. They performed at cherished venues like “Club La Ruleta” in Isla Verde, “El Festival del Viejo San Juan,” and the “Festival del Alcalde del Dorado.” Their music created unforgettable memories wherever they went.

After moving to the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, Vikki was serendipitously discovered by the talented composer and writer Richard Carpio. This chance encounter blossomed into a wonderful musical collaboration that spanned many joyful years. Together, they worked on bridging cultures by creating beautiful cross-over songs with lyrics in both English and Spanish, captivating the hearts of the American market. Their artistic journey flourished under the nurturing wings of BMC Records in Miami.

Vikki’s latest release,  jazz funk single, Stormy  was produced, arranged and mixed mastered by Richard Bravo and was release yesterday, August 11th.  Enjoy!
